Matt and Danie got married in the Chapel at Ellingham Hall in Northumberland on Remembrance Day last year. It was a freezing cold day, but an absolutely gorgeous one. They and some of their guests stayed over for a few days around the wedding, making it a memorable break as well as a gorgeous location to tie the knot. Thanks to technology, Danie's brother was also able to "attend" via Skype from the other side of the world.
With everyone getting ready in the same place, it was great to be able to split my time between men and women in the morning, capturing both Matt and his men (and James, their little boy) and Danie and her ladies all getting ready. It's so fun to be able to get both sides of the story and capture the morning from the men's point of view as well as the ladies.
Danie is a Makeup Artist and part of the "wedding industry" herself. She knew exactly what she wanted her and Matt's wedding day to look like. Danie did all the flowers and made the table decorations herself. The colours were peach and grey, and everything looked fabulous. They included so many little fun things in their day and timed it all to perfection - it was a jam-packed day but felt so relaxed and in no way rushed. Planned to perfection!
