It was a real treat to drive a full six minutes to Will and Bee's new home in Gosforth for the bridal preparations. I'm usually on the road early, or even the night before.
As fits their style, everything was very relaxed, but organised. They have some gem friends, too, as most of their wedding decorations, including bouquets and button holes, were made by Anne; one of the bridesmaids was the in-house makeup artist, a colleague of Bee's made their cake, which was not only stunning but also absolutely delicious, and the whole wedding had the feeling of everybody joining in to help out. Their ceremony was a testimony of God's love and faithfulness, which is always a privilege to be a part of.
Their wedding day was one of the hottest of the summer, and perfect for photographs in Corbridge (respect to Bee for walking all that way in her heels) and a reception at Northside Farms - complete with outdoor games and a flying fox, which the bride and her grandma both went on. It was also perfect that Will does not wear trousers, ever, so altered his suit trousers to be shorts - he was one of the only men who was not completely sweltering all day!
As part of their reception, Will and Bee had a swing dance lesson, before swing dancing through the evening. As the sun began to set, we took a few minutes to pop outside and get a few more couple shots in the gorgeous golden light. Some of my favourites.
What a day!
I'm taking bookings for 2018, and have availability for March onwards, with only a few dates taken over the summer - get in touch if you're getting married next year and would be interested in me being your photographer.
