Danie & Matt - Dunstanburgh Castle Engagement, Northumberland

February 14, 2017  •  1 Comment

Happy Valentine's Day! Today's post is full of love and romance, very appropriately! The engagement season of 2017 has begun.

Time to brag on my county again, I LOVE Northumberland. Especially on a quiet, crisp, sunny morning, like this February morning. Danie and Matt are big National Trust fans, and Dunstanburgh castle has the perfect mix of coast, ruined castle epicness (has to be a word, right?!) and fields of sheep. We met just after sunrise when there was still some gold in the morning light and the paths were deserted. Dunstanburgh Castle, it turns out, is closed on Winter weekdays. But not the sort to be defeated (Danie and Matt had travelled from the other side of the country for this), we scaled the 5-bar gate and walked through the ruins anyway (we are all NT members so didn't take the opportunity to go without paying - I'm not THAT much of a rebel!). It was worth the effort, as you can see.

They are beautiful photos Anna. Captured them in natural poses and the scenery is stunning.
