Josh and Shona's wedding was one of the most emotional and beautiful days I've had the honour of being a part of. They are so in love and respect and cherish each other with such a passion, it was hard to keep from shedding a tear or two myself.
They got married at the church Shona attended in Aberdeen, Hebron Evangelical Church, which has an incredible window and the perfect aisle, it turns out, to practice the first dance down. Their reception was at Maryculter House Hotel, a lovely place with incredible grounds overlooking the river Dee.
With bright, beautiful florals in both the bouquets and the decorations, smart groomsmen and groom in kilts and bowties, bridesmaids in beautiful flowy lacy navy blue dresses with intricate headbands, and a bride with gorgeous hair mostly loose and a gown to die for, this wedding had everything of a Scottish fairytale!
Joshua and Shona were also adventurous enough to go a second couple shoot while the ceilidh was still going on, not only to cool down from all the dancing but also to capture a few more intimate moments by the river, which included some steep bank climbing - these moments at the end of the day are some of my favourites.
I still have limited availability for weddings in 2018 and am taking bookings for 2019, so drop me a line if you're interested in having me as your wedding photographer!
