At last I have finished editing this gorgeous wedding I photographed last month - between a break for Christmas and being ill for a good week, it seems like it's taken me forever. But I am delighted to finally share these images of a simply gorgeous day - the wedding of Jonny and Gwen in Edinburgh in December - my last wedding of 2014.
I knew of Jonny through circles of friends at uni and my husband knew Gwen when he was at uni - in fact, she was at our wedding 2 1/2 years ago and caught my bouquet - proof it works, eh! If I wasn't certain before, I knew he was a keeper and is totally besotted with Gwen when the door bell rang and a beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived. Not too long afterwards, the door bell rang again and he ensured a watch and a book for keepsakes arrived for her. Talk about romantic, even when he couldn't see her, we all knew he was thinking of her!
Jonny and Gwen are Christians, and got married in the church they attend, just a five minute walk from where Gwen got ready and the flat they now live in. After the ceremony, we snuck off to Inverleith Park and Old College for some lovely couple-y photographs. It was a nice crisp (read: freezing) day and we made the most of some of the twinkling Christmas lights, which complimented Gwen's choice of red berries and roses in her bouquet perfectly. Their reception was held in one of the buildings at Pollock Halls of Residence.
There were many handmade and personal details to this wedding, some of which you will get a glance at in this selection of photographs. I hope you enjoy looking through them, and if you were a guest at the wedding, I hope you enjoy reliving this beautiful day we celebrated with the new Mr & Mrs TP!
