Gillian is my godmother; I have known her my whole life. She is one of the most gentle, gracious, encouraging, beautiful and loving people I know. When I grow up, I want to be like her. I am privileged to know her. I am also privileged that she asked me to photograph her wedding in December. Through some of life's sad and upsetting twists and turns has come a pearl, and a great blessing. She is marrying Tim, who she met many years ago. I have only met Tim once, but I know he is good for her. I am so excited to watch them together, and they are a perfect match.
Their wedding invitation (made by Gillian's daughter, Lizzie) says 'There is a time for everything... a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.' This is certainly a time to laugh and dance if ever there was one.
While Tim and Gillian were up visiting my parents, I popped down and we took some engagement photos at Preston Park in Eaglescliffe.
