Michael & Caroline - Dunham Massey Engagement Session, North West England

July 22, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

I met Caroline and Michael earlier this month for their pre-wedding shoot at Dunham Massey, a National Trust property near Manchester. It was lovely to finally meet this couple, who I'd only chatted to over Skype and email up until then.

They met in Saint Andrews, where they both went to university, and now live in Manchester. Dunham Massey is somewhere Michael used to go as a child and one of the first places he took Caroline when she moved there too. We chatted and took photos for a couple of hours, which was great fun - they're up for anything - sneaking up on unsuspecting deer (except they did suspect...), piggy backs across fields of thistles and nettles to reach a pond, walking bear foot along dead trees, and swinging from branches a la Forest Gump - which makes for fun photos.

I'm really excited about their wedding in just a couple of weeks. I'll not say much, only that furious bunting sewing is going on as we speak. So stay tuned for that in the not too distant future - should be gorgeous!
