I'm still a liiiiittle bit excited about this one, so it's a long one... sorry... not.
Clair and Nick are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Their wedding had been a long time coming since I met them in Pittenweem last September for their engagement session. But their day finally arrived, and with it came a lot of fun and a wedding party of considerable size - three beautiful bridesmaids, two best men and four ushers. Not one detail had been overseen, everything was perfect, probably in large part thanks to the many excel spread sheets sent back and forth to all those involved in some way in their wedding! Clair wore a gorgeous Justin Alexander gown with a lace jacket and amazing bright blue shoes, there were kilts and trews for most of the men, and handmade bright buttonholes to match the bride and bridesmaids' gorgeous colourful flowers.
This wonderful pair tied the knot in Saint Salvator's Chapel at St Andrew's University - a gorgeous place as you'll see! After the ceremony, we jumped into the car and went to the pier and then on to the beach for some pictures - I loved how chilled out they both were! We also walked in on a beach wedding - the poor groom's face when he saw Clair walk down the 'aisle'. Clair and Nick's reception was just across the lawn at Upper and Lower College Hall.
There was then plenty of time to relax and catch up with guests before the wedding breakfast, speeches and a fantastic ceilidh - no doubt there were bruises on arms the following day - a sign of a good ceilidh in my book! Can I just say as well that if your evening snack is cake and cheese, to me, your wedding reaches perfection.
Anyway, enough chit chat, see for yourselves. It was really hard to choose my favourites from this wedding - so many funny moments and so much gorgeousness I would love to share.
Update: This wedding has been featured on the amazing wedding blog Brides Up North, with many extra details about who did what and why the couple chose what they did. Go over and have a peek, it's worth the read!
